FLOWER FIELD
PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS
Professional photography sessions are welcome at our U-pick dahlia farm, where we offer Hartford county’s most scenic flower field backdrop for portraits, engagements, and much more.
CAPTURE MOMENTS AMONG THE FLOWERS
A Picture-Perfect Setting for Photo Sessions
Looking for the perfect flower field photography location? Our vibrant flower fields at 7 Acres Farm provide a stunning natural backdrop for professional photographers and their clients. From colorful seasonal blooms to golden hour sunsets over the fields, our farm offers a unique and picturesque setting for portrait sessions, engagement photos, maternity photography, family photos, and creative photo shoots.
Professional photographers are welcome to book dedicated photography time in our flower fields for sessions with their clients. Many photographers especially enjoy scheduling sunset photography sessions, when the lighting across the flowers creates a truly magical scene.
To ensure a peaceful experience and beautiful images, we limit professional photography sessions to a maximum of three photographers on the farm at any given time.
Because these sessions are used for commercial or monetary purposes, a site fee is required for all professional photography bookings.

Photography Session
Guidelines & Requirements
To keep the farm enjoyable for photographers, clients, and guests, we ask all photographers to follow the guidelines below:
Our flower farm offers affordable photography location rental for professional photographers.
Photography Site Fee
- $75 per hour (due at the time of booking)
- Additional time may be booked in 30-minute increments for $40 per half hour
Photography sessions are booked in one-hour time slots, with the option to extend if availability allows. To reserve your time in the fields, please use our booking link.
All professional photography sessions must be booked in advance using the booking link on this page.
We limit sessions to three photographers shooting at one time to ensure plenty of space for everyone.
Photographers may arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled session time. Please check in upon arrival. Photography may only begin at your scheduled start time.
Our flower fields remain open to the public during normal operating hours. Guests may be walking through the fields enjoying the flowers at the same time as your session.
Please set appropriate expectations with your clients and remember:
- Be respectful and courteous to other visitors.
- If you need someone to move briefly for a photo, kindly ask.
- Approved photography equipment includes camera bodies, lenses, camera bags, and tripods.
The following items are not permitted without prior approval:
- Reflectors
- Light stands
- Furniture, large props, etc.
We also ask photographers and clients to respect the flower beds:
- Do not climb into planted flower beds.
- Please stay on designated paths whenever possible.
- If clients would like to pick flowers during their session, this is only available during normal operating hours and must follow our standard U-Pick process.
If you arrive late for your session, your end time will remain the same as your scheduled booking.
If you wish to extend your session and time allows, additional time can be added at $40 per half hour.
We appreciate your help in staying on schedule so we can maintain our limit of three photographers shooting at a time.
All professional photographers are required to:
- Provide proof of liability insurance
- Sign our photography agreement and farm liability waiver
This helps ensure a safe and professional experience for everyone on the farm.
We understand that schedules can change.
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session will receive a 50% refund.
- Photography sessions may be rescheduled up to 4 hours prior to your scheduled booking time, depending on availability.
We recommend building this policy into your own client contracts and deposits so that last-minute client cancellations do not leave you responsible for the full fee.
